This trivet design showcases the benefits of computerized production over manual methods. Based on an Archimedes Spiral, it highlights the advantages of automated manufacturing processes. My build was completed on a desktop CNC machine provided by Stepcraft using 6 mm birch plywood and a spiral-toothed 1.2 mm flute. To create a striking visual effect, I applied dark wood stain to one section, resulting in a strong contrast between the two areas. For more intriguing designs, visit https://www.zenziwerken.de/. Here's how I designed this trivet: I utilized Adobe Illustrator and a script developed by Sato Hiroyuki to create an approximation of the Archimedes Spiral.
