Archer Long Range Missile System (ALRMS)
thingiverse
Based upon the excellent Volvo chassis by "GyroSimulation" (TinkerCad). This is my concept for a development of the Archer artillery system. The need for a highly mobile, long range, and capable strike system resulted in the development of the Archer Long Range Missile System (ALRMS). This system is capable of carrying 5 long range missiles that are capable of continental ranges. Carrying multiple different types of warheads, the system is versatile and accurate. Targeting/firing is carried out from the protected cab, and the system is capable of moving over rough ground. Time for deployment, firing and then movement is very short - reducing the system's vulnerability. Essentially, this is HIMARS on steroids... This is very much a work in progress and will undergo much modification - lots of details to add (eg reloading mechanism, exhaust vents, internals for the cabin etc etc) - so it is likely that the files will keep changing. I haven't printed this yet, though I do intend to as soon as it is sufficiently detailed. The launcher module at present is left separate from the chassis for easier splitting. It is scaled approx 1/72
