In the City University of Hong Kong, under the guidance of Mr. Paul Yip, a team including Nirav Sunil Jethani, Srinivas Sivakumar, and Rohit Shyla Kumar proposed ARCHAREAM - a Mars settlement plan that aims to ensure life goes on despite Earth's depleting resources. Inspired by Elon Musk's colonization vision for Mars, the ARCHAREAM design incorporates creative paradigms and thoroughness. The structure features two residential torii and one agricultural torus for sustenance. Down surfaces in both residential areas and the agricultural module are perpendicular to rotation axes, creating centrifugal force for artificial gravity. Torii are optimized rotational 3D spaces and covered in solar panels as primary energy source. Docking ports above torii facilitate easy access while antennas at the top enable communication with Earth bases. The Operations Core supports heavy industries, observatory, docking system, and other essentials within the settlement.
