Ancient Illyrian Warrior's Bronze Helm Crafted between the mid-6th and 4th centuries BC This bronze helmet showcases Illyrian Typology IIIA, Variant 3, fashioned from a single sheet of metal with protective cheek-pieces to safeguard its wearer. Two parallel corrugated ridges run along the upper face, stretching from front to back across the crown. A square-cut opening adorns the frontal section, featuring smooth edges and a short curved rear flange that emerges from behind the helmet to connect with forward-curving cheek-protectors. Each protector boasts two holes at its extremities for securing a chin strap. A central button pin allows for attachment of a crest, while a pierced hole in front accommodates its corresponding counterpart. Weighing 835 grams and measuring 20cm (8") in length, this helmet is in fine condition with restoration efforts.
