I've been eager to finish this project since 2017, and I'm finally making progress. The reason it took so long was due to the complex wiring involved. As designed, this system is meant for mechanical switches rather than Sanwa buttons. The buttons themselves are designed to be soft and comfortable to press. They don't require a spring because the mechanical switch's lever provides enough tension. This design allows for a smooth gaming experience without any resistance. Initially, I intended to use Retropie with this setup, but there were some issues with GPIO controller input. I highly recommend using Recalbox instead as it works seamlessly with this hardware. The stick and button components are connected by two M8 rods that span between the top and bottom parts of the system. This design allows for adjustable width and angle adjustments, especially for the button part.
