Arcade Coin-door Lock Replacement That Adds a Credit Button Without Drilling Holes or Hacking Wires! When buying a game, I typically remove locks altogether, but this hasn't worked well with toddlers around and has resulted in mixed success when trying to add coin wires to player 2 buttons or other uses. Thanks to the original knurled nut design by akira3dp0, I modified it to suit my needs and created a simple cam to hold the door closed. I experimented with these buttons but found that soldering irons would melt the plastic quickly. Amazon's 30mm bolt works well for most Bally/Midway games, while the 50mm bolt seems more suitable for pinball. For Best Results: After printing, hand-thread the knurled nut onto the bolt a few times to ensure a good fit. Then solder two wires to the button, pass them through the bolt, and use hot-glue to both insulate the connections and hold the button to the bolt. Remove all nuts and parts from the previous lock, keeping only the bolt, the nut, and the cam. You may want to secure the cam with hot glue or superglue once you install everything. Attach the wires to the coin credit switch, and you're done!
