I encountered some challenges when trying to drill precise holes for my arcade project. To overcome this, I created a template using the standard Japanese arcade layout with eight buttons that I found online. Am I correct in assuming it's the typical configuration? To start, use a small drill bit to make pilot holes, followed by either 30 mm or 24 mm, depending on your button size. The joystick layout employs the common 40 mm x 80 mm mounting hole pattern. The unique shape of this jig is designed to minimize printing material waste. I've included two STL versions: one with combined buttons and joystick parts for easier assembly, and another version separated into two distinct parts for convenient storage. Please note that the picture I posted only shows six buttons due to missing switches, but the template has eight pilot holes for the buttons.
