A press tool used to execute smaller projects, arbor presses typically function manually through the use of a hand-operated mechanism. Main tasks that these small devices are usually called upon for include tasks like staking, riveting, placing and removing bearings, as well as fitting work where press pieces join together securely. Depending on the task desired, tools/dies such as punches or inverter systems may be added onto the end of a movable arm referred to as a ram. Hand presses typically get rated by their maximum strength level, with leverage levels ranging commonly from one ton up to five tons when applying pressure through the use of a lever bar or wheel system.
