Arbalest pattern caseless combi-laser
thingiverse
Maybe you have noticed that Rogue Trader era bolters have a strange desing. Specially, ejecting ports appear to be, in terms of desing, simply wrong placed compared with the magazine. Well that was not the case. Actually, bolters in RT era were supose to work like gyrojet, thus, its "bolts" are caseless, that means the ejection ports are not destined to expulse empty shells, but as exaust for combustion gases produced by the fired bolts, so, it makes sense that this ports were place at the back of the gun. Now, with that idea in mind, i made this very special bolter, wich also happen is a combi-laser. Yes, you read it correctly, a bolter and a lasgun combined. Why? because i never have seen something like that, always is bolter-plasma, bolter-melta, bolter-flamer, and so on... why then no combine both of the most common weapons in the Imperium in one package? And why not also restore the early concept of caseless gyrojet-like bolts? The Arbalest is the result of those questions: On top, a caseless bolter, with ejection tubes at back and ambidextrous design; and a lasgun on bottom, for those moments when you dont want to waste your precious bolts on crappy targets, or for when you already wasted all of them. Oh, and picatinni-like rails because tacticoolness.
