A1-length thumbhole buttstock for AR-15 and Airsoft M4 gas blowback rifles designed to fit any rifle, commercial carbine, or mil-spec carbine buffer tubes universally. Installation on rifle buffer tubes requires an upper buttplate screw that might need shortening for full buffer travel. To install on carbine buffer tubes, a nylon- or brass-tipped 1/4"-20 set screw and long hex wrench are needed. Apply pressure while driving the set screw to form threads. A standard grip screw, washer, and lock washer are also necessary. The grip screw hole might need elongation for proper fit. The design has been updated with improved outer contours, an additional 0.5mm gap fill at the grip, and a shifted selector detent spring hole. The selector lever cutout has been enlarged, and the grip screw hole has been elongated. Shorter versions are now available for use with carbine buffer tubes. The latest update includes correcting the outer contours applied incorrectly in a previous version. A 2mm gap is filled forward of the grip, the selector detent spring hole and grip screw have been relocated, and ambi selector lever cutouts have been added. The grip mount has been narrowed, a sling loop mount hole has been added, and a bottom screw hole is now available (use a custom/shortened screw or another upper buttplate screw).
