The day has finally arrived, I present to you the ar15 midcap, clearly inspired by pmag. Haven't been tested yet, though due to previous experience it absolutely should work. I've finally managed to tackle working on the follower. - This moment has long been anticipated and as promised I'm sharing it for free. As for assembly, just like before, you'll need 6 m4 nuts and 6 m4x10 screws. You'll also require round nose pliers and thin spring wire for the bb stopper torsion spring (wraps around top front screw, just like all previous designs). - Material requirements and post processing. Unlike ak magazine, this doesn't experience stress, so for the externals, pick whatever you deem suitable. Real magazines do flex a bit, so pla may not be an ideal choice. (I recommend petg) The inner track is the same as before, ABS and PETG were tested and although they require different post processing techniques, both work reliably if done carefully. - *Parts are not oriented properly; usage of your common sense is advised.* A couple words about springs: yes, you will need to purchase a spring. Information on these has been updated thanks to regulars in discord. You can get maple superfeed in the US and Canada, mw type1 in Russia (like me), and ex-combloc countries. There appears to be a third option: a stack of 2 ptw magazine springs. That option is available on chinese vendors. This current version is designed to pair up with 650mm long spring, and theoretically should hold up to 150 bbs (with fully compressed spring, good luck on that one). Realistically we are speaking about 120-130 bbs. Haven't been tested yet. I would like to have feedback on springs other than mw.
