This custom insert fills the space between the grip and trigger guard on an AR-15 rifle. Its purpose is to safeguard the middle finger from sharp edges in that gap when reloading, with the entire weight of the rifle resting in your hand. To install it, simply remove the pin holding the guard, align the printed part with the guard, and reassemble as usual. No alterations were needed for either the gun or this part.
