I came across an incredibly ingenious design that allows for your upper and lower receivers to be held in place, effectively shortening the length of your AR by half, making it perfect for backpacking or fitting into the compact storage area of an airplane as a survival rifle. Please keep in mind this is a plastic version, but if you're looking for the real deal, I highly recommend checking out Beartooth Mercantile. You should also check out https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2816693 - I utilized his beautifully crafted upper cover for this device and ZBROYAR's got some serious design skills. To ensure it lasts awhile, print in Nylon, ABS, or PETG. I used 5 perimeters and 8 top/bottom layers with infill as a proof of concept. Have fun and stay safe out there!
