AR-15 Magazine Speed Loader
thingiverse
Sharing my AR magazine speed loader, which has been thoroughly tested with .300AAC and .223Rem/5.56N rounds. It assembles using commonly available 1 1/4" Drywall screws, allowing it to be mounted on a bench or used as a standalone device. When mounted to a bench, simply assemble the parts and screw them down from the top holes. If not bench-mounted, assemble it by attaching only the screws through the bottom and sides. All parts except the ram can be printed without support. However, the ram will require support for its few layers. Note that the sorting tray has two screw holes that do not appear through the bottom. The bottoms of these holes are only 1 layer thick, making it easy to attach a screw without needing any additional support. This was done intentionally to minimize the need for printing support. To print this device successfully, I recommend using a 4-5 perimeter shell walls, at least 3 top and bottom layers, and 15% infill settings. A .4mm nozzle and .2mm layer height are also recommended. The device requires a build plate with a minimum size of 220mmx220mm. In the near future, I plan to add a magazine support tray. However, for now, simply holding the mag in place works fine.
