AR-15 Magazine Loading Spoon
cults3d
The following is a 3D printed version of an AR-15 stripper spoon, used to load AR-15 magazines efficiently. Spoons often get misplaced and frequently become bent out of shape, rendering them unusable. A plastic replacement not only promises cost savings but also increased reliability. To create this object, I gathered actual dimensions from multiple stripper spoons and designed a reinforced plastic one that meets their specifications. This object is intended to assist in loading 10-round stripper clips into either standard AR-15 STANAG magazines or others compatible with them. Using this spoon is identical to using metal loading spoons. To perform the task, first grasp the magazine firmly. Place the spoon on the magazine and seat it securely. Take the stripper and insert it into the small slot in the spoon. Lift the top round and position it perpendicular to the clip. Apply leverage downward so that the rear of the cases are being pressed. Push down, then remove the stripper and spoon. Repeat as needed. V2: Tweaked dimensions for improved functionality. V1 was too tight due to initial design specifications. V1: Initial release, with some room for improvement based on user feedback.
