AR-15 Bolt Jig
prusaprinters

This is a jig to help with the assembly and disassembly of an AR-15 Bolt. I was unhappy with the designs I saw available so I designed my own.

The bolt locks into place via lugs built into the base of the jig, and the tail is captured, but sticks out. This aids in removal (simply press the tail against a hard surface to pop the bolt out of the jig).

The screw is there only to depress the ejector. It is not needed to keep the bolt in place.

Printed in three pieces. The body can be printed as oriented (bottom down), as well as the screw (which is printed handle down). The threaded insert will need to be printed with the ears face down on the print bed, as threads are best printed vertically. This insert then pops into the opening in the jig from the inside.

I printed it in PETG, using 20% infill and three perimeters. It seems to be fairly robust for occasional use, however CF PETG would help make it a bit more rigid.

No supports needed.
