Aquila X2 linear bearing project
thingiverse
This project is based on a Voxlab Aquila X2. The pom wheels on the X and Y and z axes have been removed for linear bearing MGN12. The y axe has been converted with two linear bearing of 350mm, with new brackets to fit the base bed carriage. The right end side bracket has a build in M3 bolt to adjust the contact positon with the limit switch for tuning. This new setup is close to the original height of the bed carriage The y motor base has been modified to receive the limit switch housing that fit over the linear bearing. The y motor is a 42-40. You will need the bed adjustment wheel to be able to go over the larger motor. The x and z adaptor is made of a single piece with an integrated support for an extrusion motor. The x linear bearing is 400 mm long. This setup will require the use of a second z axes on the right side. The adaptor for the x motor or motors will be modular so they can be changed from single hot end carriage to two for the Idex. The tensioner body assembly can be mounted to either side using the bolt pattern of the step motor. 1xM3x30 mm bolt for the tensioner pulley carriage 1xM5x20 mm bolt to lock the idler pulley in place. 4xm3X8 MM The final position for the limit switch will be decided once I have completed the support for the hot end it will be based of my Ender3 pro Dual hot end multi color project. in the mean time a longer M3 could be use for the initial tuning of the y contact point. The 12 mm pads are required to use the cantilever support on the y axis. Vibration pad will need to be install underneath the 5 points of contacts. The 10 mm x axis spacer offset the MGN12 rail right over the timing belt and increase the rigidity of the assembly under load (belt tensioning). This is important for a system that will have a second belt for the idex option. Aquila x2 z axis switch support03 work with the following parts X003OXy0st from amazone. The version support_org_04 is for the original switch from the aquila X2
