Aquarium Waterfall for powerhead
thingiverse
I want to design an aquarium sandfall/waterfall using a powerhead, not an air pump. I drew inspiration from this video that provides numerous DIY instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2S00u1cjRg. To simplify the process, I created three separate pieces. The threaded piece must be inserted into the T joint with attention to direction. For clarification, watch the video at minute 1:36 for further explanation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mdbtl8OF5Js. Next, I fit a soda bottle as a reservoir for sand, and I plan to draw it soon. The second piece is an adapter for my water pump (NEWA mj500) that fits into 25mm PVC tubing. I used PET-G filament with 100% infill for the adapter and threaded pieces, but only 20% infill for the waterfall cage. In the floor of the waterfall cage, I made some holes that fit cable ties perfectly. The threaded and adapter pieces were designed using Tinkercad. You can edit them online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/jMmkV1X4jjJ.
