Aquarium Trim Float Valve Mount
thingiverse
This is a reliable two-part design for a straightforward Automatic Top-Off system on an aquarium where the water level is near the top. I've been using this setup on multiple tanks for several years now. For optimal results, use nGen/PETG plastic exclusively - PLA is not recommended. To utilize the Sketchup file, simply copy the "ungrouped" model and adjust the dimensions to fit snugly around the trim. You'll need to obtain precise measurements of the full profile of the trim, encompassing both the outside glass and the inside glass. As a precautionary measure, print 2mm slices of each side to test your sizing meticulously. The Sketchup file also includes an optional ATO design for a sump, which requires a custom-made L-shaped component crafted from acrylic, along with some nylon nuts and bolts - refer to the design for specific sizing instructions. Please note that printing this component comes with a significant risk of it breaking, potentially resulting in a major wet mess.
