I crafted a custom holder for my thermometer sensor and built an easy-to-make design that works perfectly well. Perhaps you'll need to print it at 101% scale, as it can be somewhat narrow. I printed this model in PLA without supports, but you may have to experiment with different orientations to find the ideal position.
