Aquarium Snail catcher

I built a device to keep aquarium snails out of my tank by creating a mesh that allows digging into the ground material. The mesh design prevents snails from escaping, while allowing loose ground particles smaller than the snails to pass through. I developed two versions of the design, with the first one working better for me as it retained less gravel. Upon reviewing the project, I realize that it would have been more efficient to create it using OpenSCAD and including parameters for shovel size and hole dimensions.
