This custom lid fits perfectly onto an Aquaclear 70 hang-on-back filter measuring 21.2cm x 15.2cm x 1.3cm. The design is quite robust and could comfortably have 1-2 mm sliced off the bottom to save on filament without sacrificing much strength. On safety and durability: Both PLA and PETG plastics are generally considered safe for human consumption, but some dyes and additives might not be, so I use natural-colored plastic to err on the side of caution. I highly recommend printing with PETG in the long run since PLA is biodegradable and can break down when exposed to heat and water, although it will still last for over a year according to most accounts.
