Aquarium Remote Timer

Aquarium Remote Timer

myminifactory

My Fluval Edge fishtank came with an infrared remote control for lighting. A regular household timer wouldn't work, so I built a timer using Arduino. The 3D printed case requires four M3x30 bolts and four sets of M2x8 bolts and nuts to secure the display. Bill of Materials: * Arduino Nano * Terminal Expansion Board for Arduino Nano * DS3231 Real-Time Clock Module * Infrared Transmitter Module * 5V Power Supply Unit * Two pushbuttons * OLED Display Screen Arduino INO File: Electronic Connections: * Connect the Arduino Nano to the terminal expansion board. * Connect the real-time clock module to 3.3v, GND, and I2C (A4, A5). * Connect the display screen to 5V, GND, and I2C (A4, A5). * Route long wires from the infrared transmitter through a small hole and into 5V, GND, and digital pin 3. * Connect button one to digital pin 4 and GND. * Connect button two to digital pin 5 and GND.
