I created a spoon to simplify dosing Sodium Bicarbonate easily. I utilize it to increase the KH of tap water during water changes in my aquariums. My tap water lacks sufficient hardness, requiring me to boost its carbonate levels. To achieve this, I use 0.3 grams of Sodium Bicarbonate per every five liters of pre-conditioned tap water. This amount typically raises the KH by one degree within a few hours. Fortunately, this quantity of sodium poses no issues for my fish or shrimps.
