Aquarium Lid For Fluval Chi
thingiverse
The Fluval Chi is a fantastic little desktop aquarium, boasting a 5-gallon capacity, but unfortunately, it struggles with excessive evaporation due to its wide open filter and lid configuration. To rectify this issue, I replaced the original filter setup with a more conventional design and created a custom lid to complete the transformation. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: Not Required Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25% Notes: Use supports for the corner brackets printed upside down. Due to first-layer "squish," some filing may be necessary on the edge brackets. Post-Printing Assembly Print four edge brackets and two corner brackets. I utilized a 258mm x 214mm sheet of clear 3mm Lexan for the insert. Secure the entire assembly together using clear silicone sealant.
