This adapter channels the water exiting aquarium hang-on-back (HOB) filters away from floating plants, which are sensitive to being splashed or pulled under by water flow. It attaches securely to rimmed aquariums like Aqueon brand tanks. Update 8-25-2018: An updated version with a vented design and a 90-degree side has been added, allowing for better blocking and some water movement. The STL file can be mirrored to create one for the other side of the HOB filter.
