Aquarium hang filter V2
thingiverse
The perfected model of my cheap hang-on-back filter. Designed so that the pump (Aquael pat mini or similar-sized pump) fits inside the filter itself. If you are using this for a shrimp tank then be sure to also use a sponge for the inlet so that no animals get sucked up. Features:1 compartment for the pump2 compartments for filter media"slide" outlet to remove any noise from the water exiting the filterOverflow protectionLid to prevent any contaminates from entering the filterI have been using this filter for over 3 months now in multiple tanks and it works flawlessly.Installation guide:Print the partsPlace the pump in the first compartment and drill an appropriate sized hole where the inlet is.Install some tubing in the hole you drilled and connect it to the pump's inlet.Slide a filter sponge onto the inlet pipe if you are using this for tanks with small animals in it.Glue the clamping bottom onto the underside of the filter and the "slide" outlet onto the outlet of the filter.Fill the 2 remaining compartments with filter media of your choiceFill the first compartment with the pump in it with water and turn the filter on. It will slowly start to suck up water and start the filter cycle.Once everything is running place the lid onto the filter and enjoy.
