Aquarium Glass Scraper
thingiverse
Having a large aquarium requires constant maintenance which includes extensive scraping of glass. As the owner of a marine aquarium, I've experienced firsthand how green soft algae and coralline algae can accumulate. The hard purple calcium deposit is especially difficult to manage. Shop-bought scrapers are effective but tend to become dull quickly and feature expensive blades. That's why I designed my own stanley knife blade scraper as my very first print project ever. My design may undergo changes in the future since it's currently a prototype. Here are the instructions: Print both components using standard settings from my Davinci printer. Place a stanley blade between the two parts, securing them with small plastic pop rivets or another choice of fixings. I opted for 3mm plastic pop rivets, but you could use printed plastic nuts and bolts or even stainless steel clips as an alternative. Just be sure to avoid using brass or copper components since they can harm fish and coral.
