Aquarium Filter Outflow Baffle
thingiverse
This is a solution for the water that flows out of the filter that comes with Aqueon Minibow Aquariums. This one was designed specifically for the Minibow 5-gallon aquarium filter, but it will also work well for other sizes that use the same water filter (model: MB1). Without this baffle, the water output flow from the filter caused enough turbulence in the aquarium to affect our Betta, especially when it came near the surface. This tray prevents the direct outflow and allows it to disperse through the holes in the bottom of the tray. Another benefit of having this baffle in place is that when you are changing or adding water, you can pour it into the baffle tray which will help minimize disturbances in the tank. To print the solution, use a Flashforge Creator Pro printer. Set your print settings as follows: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Print the tray and two of the brackets. The brackets simply clip into the holes in the bottom of the tray. Make sure each bracket is firmly seated (clipped) in the tray and seated in the slots on the side of the tray.
