Aquarium CO2 reactor with adjustable outflow
thingiverse
CO2 Reactor that is intended to be connected to the return line from the Aquarium and to be placed in a sump. It is a design that works when the reactor is placed horizontally so it can just be reclined in the sump. The outflow is adjustable thanks to the 1:60 gearbox by daGHIZmo that this design is based upon. This is neccessary to avoid air being sucked in from the aquarium into the reactor. This also avoids gurgling noise. I used an acrylic pipe that is 20cm long and has 6cm in diameter. The reactor resolves the CO2 by 100%. Other gas that gets in also is resolved after some time. In the morning when the CO2 starts, the reactor is almost empty. The CO2 bubbles build a nice struggle. Bubbles that escape from the struggle are cought in a bigger bubble.
