Replace Aqueon filter with a simple, affordable solution made from a disposable shop rag that stays intact in water and some charcoal from the hardware store garden section. This makeshift setup snaps together seamlessly with towels and carbon in between. Update: A year and a half later, this frame remains functional without any issues, still performing just as well as when it was first assembled.
