Aquarium Air Waterpump
thingiverse
This small part makes a simple water pump that runs on compressed air. I created mine with these settings: layer height at 0.3mm and 10% infill density. For your own project, steer clear of using supports – they'll only get in the way and cause malfunctions. It's worth noting that you'll also need an attached pipe, as this is just the central part of a more comprehensive pump system, but one can arrange pipes with far greater ease than this core piece. Instructions Take this main piece and connect it to an air pump through the 6mm hole on its side. Next, take a PVC pipe with an outside diameter of 16mm and insert its end into the top hole directly. Submerge the entire contraption under water but leave just enough pipe exposed for you to work with; switch on your air pump at this point, and there you have it: a low-key yet efficient water pump. I've also provided two additional adapters designed specifically for plugging in PVC pipes measuring 17.5mm and 20mm across inside. Get creative! Postscript: performance of this system heavily depends on the capacity of your air compressor – if I had to recommend something, I'd suggest sticking with a reliable unit producing 200 litres per minute at a steady pace.
