This award-winning trophy embodies the essence of 3DPIAwards 2018, marrying smoothness with sharpness in a seamless fusion. By integrating trigonometric functions into a free-hand curve, I aimed to create a surface that effortlessly transitions from one shape to another, eliminating any harsh lines or abrupt edges. To further emphasize this contrast, I incorporated an inner lattice structure featuring rhombus profiles, injecting a sense of sophistication and precision. The base of the trophy boasts intricate micro-features that catch the light, lending an air of subtlety reminiscent of frosted glass. Although this design marks my first foray into SLA (Stereolithography) printing, I am confident in its printability and excited to see it take shape in three dimensions.
