Aqua Comb Garden Hose Collar
prusaprinters

This is a replacement garden hose collar for the Aqua Comb (http://www.aquacomb.com/). You'll probably have to cut (or break/snap) the old one off; it's not meant to be replaceable (which makes this model all that much more awesome!). Also, to get this replacement on will require quite a bit of force: Just get it on as far as you can with your hands then hold the handle while pressing it against a table or the floor. It should spin freely but also be impossible to remove without breaking it.

I have tested it using my own garden hose and it works great! It doesn't leak or anything (despite being slightly shorter than the original).

Background: The landscapers working in my father-in-law's back yard somehow broke the collar of his Aqua Comb. He bought a new one and gave this one to me saying, "maybe you can fix this with your 3D printer." CHALLENGE ACCEPTED AND COMPLETED!

UPDATE 20180510: I have lengthened the collar to make it stronger. The new version ismuch easier to screw on after multiple screws/unscrews.

UPDATE 20180607: If you need an o-ring insert for this hose collar you can print that too! Just get ahold of some TPU filament and print this model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2862628

Print instructions

This needs to be reasonably strong so crank up the number perimeters to like 10 so that it winds up being 100% infill. Set infill to 100% anyway just to be safe.
