This is a simple low profile plate that allows mounting of the Aqara window/door sensors in a removable way (e.g. if you rent, if you want to paint, etc only leaves a tiny hole to fix) but still keeping them securely attached. I recommend you use two #2 sized pan-head screws for each the magnet and sensor to hold it on. The template allows you to drill accurate holes (1/16" bit) with the exact placement the sensor will be when it's clipped over the screw; the template has a "notch" that should align with the positioning mark on the side of the sensor, and a "finger" which protrudes the distance out you need clearance to fit over the screw head before sliding it to lock onto the screw head. This allows you to get both drill-guides perfectly aligned the way you want the sensors to be and ensures you have enough room to install them once the screws are in place so you get the holes right the first time. Depending on the color of your door, it may be desirable to use white or black filament to make it more subtle. I may design a spacer to "shim" the mount for doors which have molding around them in the future, but you could also use the drill-guide and simply break/cut off the "finger" to get a properly sized shim piece as long as your screws are long enough.
