This is a direct replacement part for Aprilaire humidifier models 550, 550A, 558, and 568. It replaces the original Aprilaire Scale Control Insert (4217) and should be used in conjunction with the Aprilaire No.10 Water Panel and Aprilaire 4218 Water Distribution Tray. For this project, I've opted to use ABS, a more durable material than the plastic found on the factory part. To assemble the replacement part, you'll need to print both components twice and then bond them together using yellow glue specifically designed for ABS - it's also water-resistant. I've had success with this setup in my own furnace for over a month without any issues arising.
