A friend has several Airsoft guns and accessories. being an Engineer, he asked if I could carry out a re-thread on a sheared of parts to a Tracer unit. On inspection, it wasn't strong enough for a rethread, so instead, I quickly designed in Tinkercad a muzzle-looking sleeve to join and strengthen the broken parts. I printed in 20% Carbon Fiber PLA at 220c nozzle and 60c bed at 0.2mm layer with fuzzy skin on outside walls only at 0.1 skin thickness and 0.1 skin distance point. The broken parts fit snugly in and I put a small amount of glue on the inside of the repair sleeve and slid the broken parts in from either side. I made sure to align the cutout I made to gain access to the activation button. The friend is well pleased.
