I loved the understated beauty of Chris' design, but it felt too minimalist and the connection between the side flanges and the angled base was driving me crazy, so I made some modifications and added a recess in the base for some ballast (U.S. pennies). There's space for 4 coins if you want to make it nice and substantial, but I discovered that 2-3 were more than enough.
