A Love Story Between Me and My Apple TV...I'm totally obsessed with my Apple TV, but there's one thing that really gets under my skin - the remote is just too darn small! I've lost it more times than I can count, and once I even found it stuck between a sofa cushion after an entire year of searching. If you're in the same boat, then this genius accessory is for you. This nifty gadget makes your remote bigger while still keeping that sleek Apple design and shape intact. Your existing IR remote simply slides right in and stays put. I printed one in silver and another in red - my wife loves the red one because it's easier to spot. Want two remotes? Print each a different color or even wood! Batteries not included. The Design Process I've taken great care to make this look super sleek and feel amazing in your hand. It wasn't easy, though - nearly every surface edge needed a fillet radius to get it just right. I've also made sure that making one is a breeze. There should be very little finish work to do if you follow my steps carefully. I've measured the remote with precision and given it a nice slip fit. If it's too loose, just stick a piece of gum on the remote and then pop it in. There's a tiny hole at the bottom where you can use a paperclip to eject the remote if needed. Printing Tips The model units are inches, so be sure to scale it for metric - 25.4 will do the trick. Check out the attached pictures for the best printing setup. It prints beautifully vertically using 1mm wall thickness and 50% infill, along with a raft and support everywhere at 0 degrees (Expert > Basic > Support type > Everywhere, Overhang angle = 0). You can print it with PLA, ABS, or other materials - just be sure to follow the recommended settings.
