While Apple says the Studio Display's cable is non-removable, the company has an internal tool designed to assist in removing the very snug-fitting cable. Now you too can remove the cable from your Studio Display, with the 9to5Mac Studio Display cable remover. We recommend printing this with the strongest material you have, and ensuring that the handle has solid infill... it takes a lot of force to remove the cable! The file that ends in "-rod" has a hole up through the handle so you can insert a 3/8" steel rod for added strength.
