This is a 2V geodesic dome connector for 3/4" conduit steel tubing with flashing built into the design to allow insertion of 3/8" thick panels made of plywood, polycarbonate or any rigid construction material. Pilot holes are provided for drilling supports; self-tapping screws are recommended for permanent installations or nuts, bolts and rubber washers for temporary structures. Print six five-way connectors, ten six-way connectors and ten four-way connectors. A total of 26 printed parts will be required. Acquire thirty-five 10-foot length, 3/4" diameter conduit steel tubing pieces from your preferred hardware store like Home Depot. Cut each pole once to make 30 A poles at 56" and 35 B poles at 63.5". A hacksaw or metal cutting disk on a chop saw will be sufficient for this task. Twenty-six nuts and bolts, as well as fifty-two washers, will be needed. Cut the panels of polycarbonate, plywood or your chosen material to size, then screw them in with self-tapping screws. Seal the panels with caulking to ensure a watertight seal. Two face sizes are present: A-A-B x 30 and B-B-B x 10, where A = 56" and B = 63.5". This design will result in a seventeen-foot diameter geodesic dome with an eight-foot six-inch height at the center. Key features of this design include: * Panel design for cover (eliminating the need for tarps) * Electrical wiring or water lines can be run inside the poles and exit at connectors For more information on dome calculations, visit https://simplydifferently.org/Geodesic_Dome_Notes?page=3#2V/L2%20Icosahedron%20Dome. Printer settings: * Printer brand: Printrbot * Printer model: Simple Black * Rafting: Yes * Supports: Doesn't Matter * Infill density: 20% * Notes: Create a large raft, as this is a tall part. Rotate the print by 45 degrees on the z-axis and print it on its side.
