Apple Pencil v1 Case
cults3d
This is my first thing post, and I welcome any constructive criticism. This is a case with magnetic closure for an Apple pencil version 1. I took inspiration from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2135513, but found a number of things that didn't work for me. A test print didn't produce a usable model for me; because, the dimensions weren't quite right. Plus being in the US, I was unable to get the magnets Hinkelder linked to. I redesigned the entire case in Tinkercad using the dimensions for magnets I found at https://www.apexmagnets.com/magnets/1-2-x-3-8-x-1-8-rings-neodymium-magnet, and the Apple Pencils dimensions (found on internets). The magnets are glued into place. I don't use the adapter, so I didn't include that part. I wanted a sphere at the end to protect the tip as well. After a couple of versions, this is my final result.
