This is a clever fix for your Apple Pencil. Since my iPad case didn't have a secure spot to hold my Apple Pencil, it kept falling off due to the weak magnetic connection. To solve this problem, I designed a custom case that keeps my Apple Pencil safe and within reach. For the hinges, I used two small nails, and to keep the case shut, I employed a single strong magnet. The magnet is quite powerful, so be sure to use only one. While the design could benefit from some refinement, it works well enough as it stands.
