Apple Maggot Trap

Apple maggot flies go after anything that looks like an apple. If said apple-looking-thing is covered in Tanglefoot, they get stuck to it and, most importantly, don't dig into an apple.

Post-Printing

Bend at the seam (heat helps), put a wire through the holes, coat with Tanglefoot (or equivalent) and hang somewhere obvious... usually low around the dripline of the trees. Be careful if you have birds nests in the orchard as even slight contact with one of these will tear feathers off a bird.
Category: Outdoor & Garden
