I took a JPEG of the logo, traced it in Solidworks, then extruded and filleted it to create an STL file for dual extrusion... Next, I designed a plate around the logo with holes for screws and saved that as its own STL file... Finally, I created a shell to go around the plate and logo, with aligned screw holes for easy assembly...\nI printed the shell in regular PLA on my Rep 2 and used Bendlay to print the translucent logo because it's extremely light-friendly (91% of light passes through)...\nThen, I hooked up an RGB LED strip, wrapped it around the inner shell and connected it to an IR receiver so it can be controlled with a remote...\nI've also made logos for various superheroes like Superman, Stormtrooper, Punisher, Autobot, Decepticon, IronMan, SpiderMan, Jeep Emblem, Batman, Mortal Kombat Logo, Full Makerbot Logo, Makerbot 'M' logo, Android Robot and MakerFaire Robot...
