Figured this might be worth sharing with the community! For experienced/brave souls, I'll link to the full tutorial when it's done. Check back later for the link. I intentionally created this model flat, rather than curving it to match the aluminum body's shape. Part of the upcoming tutorial will cover a few reasons why: - First, designing it flat simplifies the print job and yields a higher-quality part. - I wanted to acetone treat the print (making it more transparent and reducing RGB light diffusion), but acetone doesn't work with PETG. Most recommend using a heat gun instead. - By using a heat gun and compressing the part against the aluminum body, you get phenomenal results. It lets you focus on and fine-tune the fit with good control.
