Apple iPod Shuffle (4th Gen) holder for work badge lanyard
thingiverse
My 5th Generation iPod Shuffle's clip wasn't large enough to fit securely onto my work badge lanyard, so I crafted a holder that attaches to the lanyard and keeps the Shuffle snug as a button. After using it for about four weeks, I drilled a hole in the bottom to prevent crumbs from accumulating in the holder. I'm a bit of a neat freak. Print Settings Printer Brand: FlashForge Printer: Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 100% Notes: I recommend printing it vertically so that supports aren't needed, and the box is more robust. To ensure the Shuffle stays in place, I designed the case to be snug and the slide to fit closely. To attach it to your lanyard, insert one cord at a time, nudging it aside to make room for the other cord. Pulling the cord tight and working it back and forth will help you get both sides in place smoothly. The holder is snug, but slides up and down once both cords are securely seated. If you want to make it easier to take on and off, you can enlarge the slide area – although it may compromise its security. How I Designed This I started by creating a rectangular box that perfectly fits my Shuffle, then built the case around it without any tolerance. When printed vertically, the walls flex just enough to hold the Shuffle securely in place.
