Apple EarPod Wrapper
thingiverse
Designed specifically for Apple EarPods as supplied on many earlier iPhones, including the inline microphone switch. For a wrapper designed for older Apple earbuds, see http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:13678. For an earbud holder that can be used with all earbuds, including those with and without microphones and with jacks or lightening connectors, see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:21858 Instructions The rear clip builds separately from the main body and is glued to the back in the specified position. The .stl files are supplied as just the main body, as just the clip, and as the two combined. In my machine, printing items separately results in less cleanup; however, your experience may vary. Start by placing the EarPods in their respective holes (they only fit one way). Take the cables down under the top lip and to the left. Hook them into the left slot, up over the EarPods, down through the top right slot, and continue through the bottom slot. The microphone should now lie across the back of the wrapper. Bring the cables down through the opposite slot and wrap the cables to the right and around the spool. When the cable reaches its end, the plug should be near the last slot on the rear. Hook the cable into the slot and snap the plug into its holder. To remove the plug, push on the metal end, grab it at the cable end, and pull it out of its holder. I am happy to freely share my designs, but if you print it and are pleased with the result, I would appreciate it if you returned here and left a small tip!
