Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) to USB Dongle

Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) to USB Dongle

thingiverse

I designed this adapter for my Apple Extended Keyboard to meet a specific goal: creating an ADB to USB adapter without needing to modify my keyboard in any way. The only vintage computer part I had to sacrifice was a spare ADB cable that was just lying around, waiting to be used. You can find the assembly instructions on hasu@tmk's GitHub page, which is linked below. Without his firmware, my Apple Keyboards would still be stored away, collecting dust and serving no purpose. Here are the parts you'll need: * A Teensy 2.0 Microcontroller * One 1-10 kOhm resistor * Four Self-Tapping Plastic Screws * An ADB cable (which will need to be cut and spliced for the adapter) * A 3D Printed Housing (you can find this on the page linked below) To get started, head over to hasu@tmk's GitHub page to access the firmware and assembly instructions.
