The mount for this series of monitors can break at the swivel tab at the top of the mounting stand, rendering the monitor difficult if not impossible to stand. This adaptor allows the large oval portion of the clear plastic stand to be reused, after sanding off the broken tab portion. In my case i used a vertical belt sander, but manual sanding will also work. The goal is to remove the protrusion that was attached to the monitor's metal tab with 3 bolts, and leave a relatively smooth upper contour on the large clear plastic portion of the mount. The adaptor simply slides over that contour and is held in place with 4 sheet metal screws. Note the original clear mount has non-skid tabs on the bottom end. The original clear plastic cover around the swivel tab mount is not used. Once the mount adaptor is attached to the lower oval, simply attach the assembly to the monitor's swivel tab using 3 bolts.
